The NTCA Cybersecurity Bundle is a comprehensive guide designed to help your company develop a risk-management approach to cybersecurity—your company’s best defense against a proactive cyber adversary. This approach is scalable and flexible to address the evolving threat environment and your needs and resource constraints. It also is consistent with the guidance provided within Version 1.1 of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework—the pre-eminent guide in regard to cybersecurity risk management.

The bundle consists of four robust resources, which are designed to be read and used sequentially:

• Risk Management Primer: A foundational resource, this report discusses your company’s potential liability for cybersecurity incidents; describes how a risk-management approach is advantageous; clarifies roles and responsibilities for senior leadership versus operational employees; and offers questions to jump-start a robust internal conversation about cyber risk.
  
  
• Getting Started Guide: Provides an “on ramp” to help you get started with a risk-management approach and with using the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. It walks you through how to identify a cyber risk-management team and then structure a series of five internal meetings to discuss your cyber risk and the steps you are taking to manage it.
  
  
• NIST Framework Evaluation Tool: A tool to assist the more sophisticated user with evaluating its security practices relative to the 98 subcategories or best practices contained within the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  
  
• Cyber Incident Response Plan Guide: A guide to help you either create or revise your cyber incident response plan, produced by Womble Bond Dickinson and CyberESI for NTCA.
